THINK... amazing countryside, endless nearby beaches, getting back to nature, beautiful bell tents and cosy comforts.
FORGET... hustle and hassle, endless packing, fraught tent pitching, damp sleeping bags and unreliable airbeds.
'We're not a traditional campsite, in fact we don't really think of ourselves as a campsite at all. This is wild camping with added comfort. This is your chance to experience a welcome stay (no more 'get off my land!') in a beautiful and natural place. With a handful of pitches we offer a wonderful holiday for a lucky few. Your gorgeous bell tent is awaiting your arrival. Each of the bell tents is set in it's own space in an open meadow at Polgreen Farm. Your stay includes all of the home comforts and essential glamping extras. All of our tents are the big and beautiful 5 or 6 metre diameter canvas bell tents with a central height of up to 3 and half metres. They are a private palace for a couple or they can comfortably sleep a family of 4 (or family bookings of 5 in the 6 metre tents). They are furnished with a low level double bed sleeping 2 and a double futon that can be used as a sofa or as a bed sleeping another 2. We also provide duvets, pillows , a warm blanket and quilt to make sure you get a good nights sleep (please bring your own bed linen). There is a BBQ (with charcoal to get you started, more available to buy), outdoor cast iron gas stove (unlimited gas included), we provide a cool box and ice packs, pots and pans, storage box, crockery, a vintage tea set, cutlery and all the basic housekeeping gear. A cosy cow hide rug (just let us know if you want this removed), colourful bunting, a coffee table, wind up lantern and tea light chandelier make for a home from home. Outside each pitch there's a picnic table and fire brazier (firewood for sale) to make the most of the great outdoors.'
'Polgreen Glamping is set on a small farm of almost 40 acres in a wooded valley next to the gorgeous North coast of Cornwall. The farm ranges from wetlands to wooded copses and has a diverse mix of wildlife. Spot deer, rare horseshoe bats, barn and tawny owls, discover otter and badger tracks around the site, meet the farm sheep and ducks or follow our on site nature trail. The 6 bell tents sit within a 4 acre valley meadow on the farm with a stream to one side and a wooded slope to the other. There are 2 central dining canopies with tables and stools for meeting and eating, shade or shelter. The Polgreen Pantry is our small on site honesty 'shop' which is open everyday from 8-10am and 5-7pm. The Pantry sells freshly baked bread, breakfast essentials like bacon, sausages, cereals and preserves, some BBQ basics and a selection of tea time treats. Our pick your own salad patch and herb pots mean you can cook up an al fresco feast and if we don't have what you want one of the two great local farm shops will. The Pantry is also the place to buy your camping supplies (additional charcoal and firewood) and it has a plentiful free supply of fresh ice packs. The Pantry has wifi access, a charge point and a well stocked mini book and games library. We also have a stash of beach gear, from kids body boards to buckets and spades, that guests are welcome to borrow. At the side of the site, next to the parking area, you will find the washing area. There are 4 well maintained eco friendly sawdust compost loos, a shower hut with 2 hot showers and eco friendly toiletries provided. There are two cold water sinks supplied by our own filtered water suitable for drinking, cooking and all washing needs. The site is non electric - candles, solar lights and wind up lanterns provide after dark illumination (so please bring a torch!).'

'We love this special place and know that you will too. The nearest beach, (Sunday Times' award-winning) Mawgan Porth, is within walking distance (20-30 minutes) along tracks and lanes. Beyond this further beaches stretch along the whole coast which can be reached via road or the coastal path (the perfect place for some dolphin spotting). Watergate Bay, a huge expanse of sand and home to Jamie Oliver's Fifteen, is just to the south and the mythical Bedruthan Steps and National Trust land is to the north. From rock pooling and cave exploring to surfing (hire and tuition locally available), there are plenty of beach activities to keep you entertained and a little bit of exploration may reveal your own secret bay. If you are after something different you won't be disappointed... The surrounding area provides great walks from laidback strolls to day-long adventures, pack a picnic and enjoy. If you are feeling a bit more intrepid why not hire some bikes or take a boat trip to savour the sights or catch your own supper. Top links golf courses, Trevose and St Enedoc, are both within easy reach. The nearest village (10 minute walk), St Mawgan, is a winner of Cornwall's best kept village and with its pretty church, traditional pub, village stores and tea room it's not hard to see why. For rainy days the biomes of the world-renowned Eden Project are just half an hour away. Head to Newquay Aquarium for a close up view of some sea life or a bit further afield to the Tate at St Ives with its ever changing exhibition programme. Why not download our Polgreen Glamping Visitor Guide for a complete insight in to everything the local area has to offer, from places to shop and eat to day long adventures and relaxing escapes.'
