kit list

What we supply for your stay

Your Bell Tent

Your large 6 metre diameter bell tent is kitted out with double with real mattress, double futon sofabed, optional single mattress roll for a 5th guest. It's cosied up with rugs, blankets and a tea light chandelier. It also has a coffee table, two bedside stools, a boot box (no shoes inside) and wind up / solar lantern.

Bookable Bedding

You can bring your own bedding or book our bedding packages which include duvets, pillows and bed linen.

Outside your Bell Tent

Each bell tent has a canvas canopy outside with table and chairs underneath. There is also your own cooking station with a double cast iron gas burner and gas supplied.

Communal

There is a larger communal dining shelter with tables and chairs, a central fire pit with benches and BBQ. Fire Kits including firelighters, kindling & wood and easy light BBQ charcoal bags are available to buy.

All the Gear

Our kitchen store houses a set of kitchenalia and housekeeping gear for each bell tent. This includes a small cool box, saucepan, frying pan, stove kettle, stove guard, mixing / serving bowl, water carrier, thermos, spoon, spatula, chopping slate, chopping knife, bread knife, corkscrew / bottle opener, peeler, washing up bowl, drying line, tea towel and wash up sponge. We also supply crockery and cutlery for each guest (3+ years) including plate, bowl, mug, glass, knife, fork, spoon and tea spoon. There is a small fridge for communal use and a small freezer where ice packs (supplied) can be replenished for use in your cool box.

Showers & Sinks & Lavs

There are two hot showers & two cold water sinks with water that is suitable for drinking. We supply earth kind shower gel, shampoo & conditioner and eco hand wash and washing up liquid. We ask you use the supplied products rather than your own as all of our waste water goes through a reed bed on the farm to help us be as sustainable as possible. Each bell tent has it's own compost loo hut for it's own use.

Solar & Charging

After dark lighting is by solars dotted around the site and automatic solars in the loos and sink area. The site is non electric apart from the fridge / freezer where you can also find a multiple charge point for personal devices only.

Recycling

We have separate recycling bins for all types of recycling that are processed in Cornwall. Please do follow the local recycling instructions.

What you need to bring for your stay.

Bedding & Bed Linen

You can book our bedding packages of duvets, pillows and bed linen, or choose to bring your own. Please note that as standard the first 4 guests have 2 doubles so you will need double sheets. A single set up will be needed for a 5th guest where applicable.

Torch

The site is gently lit by solar lights at night and we supply a wind up / solar lantern but a torch is essential for after dark.

Clothes & Footwear

Pack for the elements and the weather, bring sensible shoes and pack some wellies - they are essential for rainy days, dewy mornings and exploring long grass.

Food & Drink

Our local guide includes info on where to buy food & drink locally but please note that some options wont be available if you're arriving later in the day so do check opening times. You can also order your groceries from the local village stores in St Mawgan for collection. Details for the coming season coming soon.

Toiletries, Medicines etc.

We supply shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, washing up liquid & handwash that we request you use to help us manage our waste water sustainably. However you'll need to bring any other toiletries. Please note that we are not able to supply any medical supplies beyond our basic first aid kit. It's a good idea to pack sun cream, insect repellent, sting & bite cream, pain killers and any other medicines or treatments.

Personal Devices

We have a charging point for your personal devices but please note that mobile signal is very unreliable and you might need to head further up the valley to get a signal. We supply our farm landline number before your stay for you to share in case of emergency.

BBQs & Fires

We supply a communal BBQ and fire pit but you are welcome to bring your own BBQ if you would like. We will supply slates for you to put it on to protect the ground. Please note that if it has been particularly dry a site wide fire ban may be in place.
